Situated on Sunset Boulevard in West Hollywood, the Argyle Hotel is one of the most important Art Deco structures in Los Angeles. Designed in 1929 by architect Leland A. Bryant as the Sunset Tower, this building was a landmark from the moment it opened. Its dramatic stance on the Sunset Strip and elegant Art Deco styling, together with its proximity to the famous restaurants and nightclubs of the 30's and 40's contributed to its appeal then - just as it does now. The public areas feature copies of French-Deco furnishings and art, along with some original, period pieces. After an exhaustive renovation with careful attention to its original details, the Argyle has now added a fine restaurant, Fenix, and a beautiful swimming pool.
The Argyle Hotel features sixty-four exquisitely beautiful, carefully detailed Art Deco style rooms on fifteen floors with panoramic views of the city.
